I am looking to buy some mudguards for my 07 hardrock pro. I did buy a crudcatcher however the connectors weren't big enough to go round the frame and i was worried that it would crimp the cables as the are routed under the frame. Nay body got any recommendations? Looking at a rear and front.

My 07 Rockhopper disc has a Crud Catcher on the rear, and an SKS Shockboard on the front.
The Shockboard was bought mainly for commuting and can be easily removed via the quick release.....

I've had no problems with either of the above...
  • Just buy a Crudcatcher Race pac.Simple, bombproof and effective.

I bought the cycraguard set here:- http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.a ... uard%20Set for my HT stumpy, was tempted by the fact I have used cycra gear on my enduro motorcycles for years. Am impressed with the quality, has cable guides on the front to lift it clear of your cables, and the straps are strong and very long (sounds a bit like a well known loo roll  ). The rear has rubber inserts where it clamps the seatpost, to give a good, solid, chafe free fit, and a neat quick release for removal to clean, or for when you don't need it.
Seriously a great piece of kit, would reccommend and definately buy again

Just last night fitted my crudcatcher to my Hardrock Sport 07 and initially thought it wouldn't go round.

But if you soak the to bands in hot water you can stretch them around.

You end up with a nice tight fit.

Another vote for Cycraguads here. Have them on my 29er. Really impressed with them. As stated they come with long strap and little wedge thingies to stand off the frame for crossed over gear cable runs.

I have a Rockhopper with a Tora 302 fork and I bought the Topeak Defender M1 Front and Rear mudguard set.

    Front - http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=14439

    Rear - http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=14440

They fit perfectly, the front is in 3 parts so you can leave the bracket in place and un-clip the mudguard [arts for transport etc. The bracket fitting also stops dirt and water getting inside the steerer tube which was an added bonus for me. The rear has a quick release so if you need to lower your saddle for any steep downhill runs then you can easily move the mudguard up to suit.

    Well worth the money!
