hi all
just a quickie, i am after upgrading my rear cassette/shifters to 9 speed but at present my rear cassette is only 7 speed at present, so will it fit or will i need a new hub also.

I'm pretty certain that you do. I think 8/9 speed hubs are slightly narrower, so you can just change the freehub body on your existing hub.0

7 speed hubs are narrower overall, 8 and 9 are exactly the same. The conversion will require a new axle and freehub. Of course a new shifter too, and 9spd chain is required with 9 spd cassette. If you have 7 or 8spd chaiinrings, then these must be upgraded to 9spd with a 9spd chain. The mechs will work fine either way.0
