Grease on rotor

So for christmas I got a 203mm rotor for my bike, ordered the mounting bracket for it, and had them install it. When they were realigning my axle some grease fell onto my rotor. I noticed it but didn't say anything because I figured they would clean it up. So I walked around the store as the mounted all the parts. I came back to watch as the mechanic puty the wheel on and rotated the wheel getting grease on my pads. I brought it to his attention, and he just cleaned it up quikly. Yesterday, I went for a short ride around my block just to get on my bike for a few. Then after my ride I loocked at my front rotor, and there is a black oily residue ont my rotor.

What do I do?
Do I just take it back to my lbs and have them degrease it, or do I demand new pads.

  • a good degrease and remove pads and rub lightly with wet and dry / fine grade sandpaper will normally suffice, bad drills by the LBS though.

Demand new pads. The mechanic wants shootingg for that. Should have cleaned it straight off the rotor.

Thanks for the help. I dropped my bike off at my lbs yesterday and will get it today no charge. If problems still arise, I will just contact the owner( who knows I am constantly buying, and ordering bike parts from them) and he will hopefully hook me up
