Spokes - best on-line resource?
Beyond the 6 bikes at home, I find myself servicing mates' bikes at work too (including my bosses!)
This means that I need a whole array of spokes, plain gauge, DB stainless and aero - usually in singles if I am not building up new wheels from scratch.
I have used a number of on-line resources, which are everyone else's favourites?

Chain Reaction for MTB sizes, Parker International for road sizes. Chain Reaction do have the annoying habit of supplying 14mm nipples though, when the rest of the world seems to have agreed that 12mm is standard.
Singles are trickier - LBS is probably the best bet.
If anyone knows of a cheaper source for road length DT Competition, I'd be very interested!0 -
Try someone that builds a lot of wheels, like Spa Cycles. You could try looking for Alpina spokes, which are a quite good and generally cheaper than DT. If you get chummy with a shop worker, they get deals on DT, at least in the US.0

I've imported spokes from Germany (is the only way I've found to get odd numbers of aero spokes without paying for a whole box). Availability of many things is far worse in the UK than anywhere else in the civilised world.0
