Very nice! Looks like a early 2000s Zaskar with older decals.0
-
I like it. Always had a soft spot for Zaskars.
I'm feelin' the colour coding too!0 -
need to get that out on some trails0
-
Very Nice. I hope it rides as good as it looks.0
-
yep it doe's ride well also spend 3 hr's cleaning after it's been on the trails.
my friends say it not in a show room !.0 -
Sweet. WTB saddle aint the best looking though. Mind you i have one as well - dead comfy.
Love zaskars!I hate it when people say David Beckham's stupid...its not like anyone ever says: 'Stephen Hawking - he's s**t at football.' Paul Calf0 -
Vintage Zaskars rule! Though the new carbon ones look very sexy.0
-
All Zaskars are awsome! would be scared to fall of the Carbon just in case the frame gets trashed

They reckon the carbon one is tough, not designed to be an XC race bike like the Scott Scale. What do you think to the reissue of the alu one?

very nice indeed there only made 80 units for the uk
is that yours?0 -
Wish it was mine! Looks very similar to the one I have, should bump the value of it up a bit.0
-
yep should do insured mine for 1500 quid just in case some thiefing gipsey has it away.
are those frames out now and if so whats the retail?0 -
Yep, some left in the UK: a whopping 700 quid!0
-
defo collecters item for that price!0

ALL GT owners please help.
How do you get marks off a brushed aluminium frame? My XCR has a couple of marks which won't wash off and I was wondering the best way to do it.
Would a T-Cut type solution be any good with really fine wire wool???
HELP PLEASE......0 -
What sort of marks are they? Is the frame lacquered, and the marks are in lacquer? Or are they more general scratcjes and abrasions in the surface?
The dull oxide layer that forms on bare alu frames actually protects the aluminium. You can polish up (I used a specific metal polish on the Zaskar) and it restored the shine, but the scratches and marks were still there. To keep the shine it needs relacquering0 -
I'm sure it's a bare aluminium frame. No scratches, dents or gouges. What's the name of the polish? Cheers0
-
alrite i use autosol on my frame to bring it up.
i did'nt know bare metal frame's were lacoured?0 -
Some are, not all.0
-
what polish do you use?0
-
Cant remember its name, its in the shed! Comes in a little tin wirh wadding - its pretty potent stuff.0
