Came across this interesting new component on CRC http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=10690
Would anyone consider this as an upgrade if they have a long travel fork )140mm) on their rig or is such a combo far more brittle if say your rig meets the odd tree/bush/yourself over the bars/ when dhing or doing trails?

I think its stupid to be honest, esp that one! My RF Next LP carbon bar and kooka stem weigh 300g, and cost about 70 quid for the pair. And I can rotate the bars, and if one dies I dont have to replace the lot...0

Always thought it was a good idea and a clever way of saving weight but not something I'd ever consider. One for the weight weenies.0

Supposed to be a pig to fit lights, computers etc. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
magazine reviews state that they don't offer aweight saving over decent conventional set up, are difficult to site your components on and are mega expensive so I would give them a wide bearth, also you cannot tweak the bar position in relation to the stem to adjust your hand position slightly.0
