So due to my 'Lidl special' chain splitting tool falling apart in my hands (I kid you not!), any recommendations for a decent chain tool. Park, Pedros, or any other decent ones out there?

Park CT3 - the big chunky one. I think it cost over £15 but it's superb, and has a really good stop to prevent pushing the rivet right out. Not what you'd fit in your tool kit on the bike, but great in the home tool chest.

For one that'll fit in the saddle pouch, I have one branded "Trek" which is seriously good, though a bit heavy. I have a few other lighter ones which have worked ok so far, but since I don't break down often enough I can't say whether they're reliable. Anything light is generally going to be fragile.

Whoops - just found the Park one at £25... maybe I got mine a while ago. Still good value at that price though.

The Park CT5, which you can get for about £15, is excellent. It's not as chunky and robust as the CT3 but it works faultlessly.
