Specialized XC 2007 X fusion shock

Hello all, new here.
Just wanted to ask a question.
I bought a Specialized 2007 XC Disc last year.
No issues with the bike but I noticed that the shock is a custom X fusion O2RLA 7.0" x 1.6"
If I wish to replace this shock with another model such as Fox what's the best bet as there doesn't appear to be one in that size.
If I get the longer travel model it will have an affect on the setup of the bike.
Any suggestions or am I stuck with this rear shock in this size?
thanks in advance
Dan

Yea, its a bugger. Fox do custom chopped shocks via MOJO.0

Thanks Supersonic
I dropped an email to Mojo, they can custom make a float R or RP23 to fit
Think I'll go with an RP23, I've read good reviews about that shock!
thanks for the advice0 -
Wouldn't you be able to get a a fox shox direct from specalized off the FSR XC Pro :?:
Just a thought0 -
That's a good shout actually, just looked it up on the Specialized website, Fox Triad in the same size.
Will call a dealer on Monday and see how much they want for the shock.
cheers for the info!0 -
Just thought as upgrading with parts already designed to fit makes life a breeze.
Another trick I learned from modifying Honda Civics 8)0 -
Can't argue with that, should be a simple swap over!
I'm guessing the Triad isn't quite as good as the RP23 but then the RP23 is £300! ouch!0 -
I’d be careful about the warranty. I had the same question about my FSRxc Comp. This is the e-mail I got back from Specialized just last night. I asked about the standard Fox Float sizes.
They need to use spell check too!!

Robert,
Neither of those will work it does have to match up exactley or you will ruin your bike and void all warrenty. Your only choice is going custom by Cane Creek or Romic.

got to love people dragging up 3 month old topics."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

i to was considering upgrading the shock.especcially after demo several more expensive bike,it makes you realise how good this frame is and its capabilities would be highlighted further with a top quality shock.0
