Tiagra Calipers with Sora levers

Will they work together? I am planing to fit a new Tiagra caliper to my winter bike, but keep the existing sora levers. I can't see that it won't work, but will I need (as in mandatory) new cables for example...?

    you won't need new cables if the originals are ok.and this set up will work fine.
