Bargain? Heart Rate Monitor
Aldi have a watch-style wireless HRM on sale from Thursday:

Looks reasonable for the money, but the stopwatch only counts up to 9 hours 59 minutes and 99999 kCals! Anyone bought one of these in the past?

I heard you can get a hrm in Lloyds Pharmacy for a tenner. Might be worth a look too.0

I might get one of those for a tenner, I have a cordless cycle computer and was wondering if the signal might conflict with a heart rate monitor, any one used the 2 together?Tarpaullynn0

Someone i kmew had a cheap HRM and his heart rate went up when he had his LED light on
You might be best off spending a little bit more on one that has coded wireless, so no interferance.0 -
I got one last year for my new cycle touring buddy - it worked fine, and she was able to manage her riding much better on the hills so she didn't "blow up" (she was really scaring me before that!).
As for the LED light thing, many analogue HRM's and cycle computers may be susceptible, however I am not sure the HRM would be that useful in the dark anyway, unless it is permanantly back-lit (which these are not, and if they were, battery drain would be high).0
