Genesis core 10 2008 £450

My budget was £500 but i can stretch to genesis core 20 if it really is worth it.

What does everyone think?

Have you tried any? They have differening geometries.

Worth looking at the Specialized Rockhopper Disc too - this is my favourite bike at 600 quid, great frame and fork, top notch components.
  • havent tryed any yet but hopefully will try some tommorow.

I've got a Spesh Rockhopper Disc, bought it in May '07, and its been excellent. The prices of the '07 range are being reduced to silly money for what you get. They are good value bikes brand new, reduced they are absolute bargains!!!

Third thumbs up for the Rockhopper Disk.

Amazing value and not a lot "worse" than my £1200 Stumpjumper Comp  :lol:
Two Stumpjumpers, a Rockhopper Disk and an old British Eagle.

  • I test rided the Genesis core 20 today and liked it. It was amazingly light weight. I have narrowed it down to two options:

    Genesis core 20 £600
    Specialized Rockhopper Disc £600

I cant find a shop around here that stocks the specialized so cant test ride it currently.

Is the riding geometrics of both bieks the same or completly different?
The specs apart from the frame of both bikes seem both pretty similar. Which has the best components do you think?

    Thanks

The geo is similar, but not exactly the same. The hopper will feel different - in the end its what feels best to you. Both great bikes, not much in the spec, the Hopper probably shading it.
