Is it just me or is everyone noticing a rash of new commuters on the roads at the moment? I think there are loads of folk who've made resolutions to commute by bike this year and on my route I'm seeing far more cyclists thatn usual. It usually very quiet bike wise but today I went past 7 commuters heading the other way which is a record for my route.
One particular chap (new to the route) makes me smile - not the smallest guy and he carries an enormous backpack and is always making heavy weather of one particular climb when I pass him. That said he's been on the bike every working day this year so power to him!
