trek madone 5.2 2008 pro fit

Was considering buying one of these and was interested in hearing peoples experiences with them especially with the bontrager components and wheels

    Love it. Only test rode it. I've used the Race Lite wheels at length with no problems and my other bikes are kitted out with Bontrager stuff anyway. Go and test ride one.

    Got the Performance fit model. Performs superbly, let down by rider. Wheels nice and stiff but comfortable. Went for the Performance as I don't like a stack of spacers under the stem. With a long seat mast and a 120mm stem it is just like a compact frame. I liked the black / white colour scheme better too. I have had too many blue bikes.

    I purchased a 5.5 Performance Fit Madone and it is a brilliant bike.It is very comfortable and handles well.Bontrager Race Lite wheels with Race X Lite tyres are an excellent combination.Dura Ace with Bontrager Carbon Cranks....

    Only issue i have is with the frame finish,which shop said was because it was naked carbon fibre.Not finished to the standard i would expect.
