Anyone used this saddle/post system on a road bike? I was looking for a new saddle and seatpost and whilst I don't like the look they are very light for the money and very adjustable. Any good or is it a gimmick ?

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.

  • Not used one personally, but as I understand (having talked to some guys who do use them) - they work as advertised and hold the saddle securely. *But* the way the hull is designed with the central I-beam support means the saddle is very stiff - has none of the comfort flex of a "normal" saddle. The general consensus was - fine for a DH or FR bike where you're not sat down much, not great for long periods of seated pedaling.
