Evening all.
A few years ago I was and about everywhere on my bike and signed up to the old MBUK forum - it seems to have disappeared!
After passed my driving test 2 years ago I've neglected the bike a lot - too much I think! Started College last September and driving to get there is a nightmare - sit on the M4 in solid traffic, or sit on the Bath Road (A4) in solid traffic! Plus parking is not so good, and I don't like leaving a 1973 MG Midget in a car park so close to Slough! Its back on the bike, but the neglect is starting to show on me as well as the bike All the 'drivetrain' (more knowledge of cars than bikes so I'm ignorant of the proper term!) is pretty much knackerd. I've had it 4 years and I think my speedo had about 2000 miles on it before it broke 2 years ago!
Am hoping to get more involved in riding again, not just the 12 mile commute - have always like long cross country rides so will be hanging round a bit!
All the bst, Pete.

One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other.

12 miles each way?
good work if its 12 one or both ways. I pass a guy everyday who i think cycles about 15 miles (cheltenham to cirencester) and i drive past feeling very guilty. mind you its 20 for me and thats a bit far!0 -
Hi Pete236www.27gears.com
Sore ribs.................I must start walking the trail 1st before steep descents into the unknown!0 -
Cheltenham to Cirencester? ouch - glad I don't have to make that trek! 12 miles is ok for me. Its fairly flat, only takes 35 mins and thats with rush hour traffic. Three, sometimes 4 days a week and the miles soon add up! not been this fit since I left school!
Thanks for the replys! hope to see you round here
Pete.
