Hi,
I have not been on my MTB bike for long time due to work and personal issues.
I bought a road bike just after Xmas to help build up my fitness etc as I am off to Scotland in June and would like to be able to cover greater distances etc.
With so much info around to read on this site and others, could anyone give a brief overview or give out a few pointers on where to begin.
I.e distances to be covered and how frequent I should be riding as I now have more organised and focused time available for riding and I would like to get into a daily/weekly routine.
Thanks!

It's quite American and there are things that are of no use, but the 10 week training program and the tips on motivating yourself seem pretty good. I'm on week two.My silly looking GT
