Hi
I was wondering if i could get you guys to help me. I have a choice of two wheel sets, some Mavic Crossrides or some Mavic XC717 rims on XT hubs made by merlin cycles. The crossrides are a little lighter but only have 28 spokes, so arent quite so strong, but i have no idea how much difference this will actually make to me. They both cost pretty much the same, so no problem there
Bit stuck, so any help would be mighty handy

Go for the XT/717 from Merlin. Handbuilt, better hubs, almost same weight - the Crossrides are hard to get parts for and IMO not as durable.0
