is it a good idea to store your rig upside down i it has a coil shock and hydro brakes? Some pl say it may benefit the fork but may affect the brakes. What iseveryone's opinion? Can i keep mine upside down for say 2hours so it doesn't affect the hydros?

Don't pull the brake levers when it's upside down and it will be fine.

Don't see how it could affect the brakes at all :? Its a completely sealed system that is put under pressure every time you pull the leaver, being upside down doesn't change anything.

Forks are normally the only thing affected when you store them upside down, all the oil in the damper moves to the top and can leak out of the seals.

unless it is an open system Ciaran if its an open system and you pull the brakes on upside down.
any air in the master cylinder resevoir will sit up by the cylinder and when you pull the brakes you stand a good chance of putting air into the sysytem.
I never touched it! It was broke when I got here.
  • it helps forks as oil baths spread around the internals keeping them nice and lubed.

in most TF tuned DVD sections tim (owner) recomends putting you bike upsydowny some racers put ther bikes like that for a couple of hours before a big race. if tou seals are knackerd then dont. i recently destroyed some Z1 freerides and when i turned theb bike upsidedown oil came out of the top!
