Stiff chain link
I've just re-built an old bike and it seems to be all OK except for the chain jumping slightly on the rear derailleur during a gear change. After investigation, I suspect that a link has went stiff, hence jumping at the jockey wheel.
Is there much I can do to fix this or is it simply better to replace the chain (with a cheapy replacement)? It is a very old chain and the Gruppo is the 8 speed Campag Stratos Apart from this, everything else seems fine and I'm pretty happy with my first complete strip down and re-build!!.
Cheers

If the chain's that old and it's gone stiff, I'd just swap it - they're not that expensive and you don't want it snapping on you.
If you decide not to replace for some reason, a chain tool (or gently flexing the chain side to side) can sometimes loosen a tight link, depending on what the problem is.
Congrats on the rebuild!Even if the voices aren't real, they have some very good ideas.0
