looks like a good forcast tomorrow, I'll be out and just make the route up as the will takes me. Probably abourt 60-65 miles. Roll on the spring and lovely hot summer
  • Special effort required to ensure I get out early enough to get a good few miles in before opening time. Forecast loking good for Staffordshire/Shropshire border country. Cold but sunny & bright. Can't wait.
    Two wheels good,four wheels bad
  • I'm stuck

Groin strain, plus the freehub on my wheels has gone. A great start to the year, hehe.

  • Sat on my sofa watching Match of the Day rerun. Should be out on the road by now but I did my back in celebrating Reading's late equaliser yesterday and am in some pain.I can't even turn my head properly to look behind me so would not really be safe :(

On with the winter gear and out the door this morning, only to find the roads like glass - bloody black ice! - Not worth the risk of stacking it so the turbo for me this morning :(

 he he he , mmm , i mean sorry to hear that, what a bummer. Good effort though
  • 54 miles felt like cr@p the whole way. Lost feeling in my hands for the last 2 and a half hours and my water bottle froze again. Can't believe it took me 3.5hours to do 54 miles and only burned 1400 calories. HR didn't get above 120 the whole time.

    what a waste.

45km of icy roads on the Poor Student and more slips / slides then I can care to remember.

Actually took to the grass at one stage as it offered considerably more grip. Did the gritters get caught out?
