Hi, I am looking for some trousers for urban riding and liked the look of the Ground effect Ranchsliders that were in C+.

Has anyone used these? Does anyone know of a UK supplier? also, of this type, are there any ones with cargo pockets etc?

I have looked at the net but am having problems finding trousers. the tops are much easier to find.

Thanks

  • I just use normal cargo or hiking pants, if I'm going to be on the bike for more than half an hour or so I wear padded lycra shorts underneath. Not sure what advantage the Ground Effect trews would have beyond a bit of fleece in the rs!
Even if the voices aren't real, they have some very good ideas.

I would second this. There are a lot of good quality hiking and leisure gear trousrs at a fraction of the Cost.

Rohan Bags for instance or their Uplanders.

Simply see what your local outdoor shop does or go somewhere on-line.

  • What's wrong with ordering direct from Ground Effect? The postage is cheap and delivery from NZ is actually pretty quick.
If they turn up and don't fit, ebay them or sell them in the classifieds here. They are a well thought of brand, you shouldn't have any problems selling them should you need to.

A friend used Ranchsliders for his urban commute and thought they were very good. Get them directly from Ground Effect - the NZ$ is weak so the Sterling prices are good.
