Or you could get these for when you're feeling sporty.

    Oh dear.

Mr Ball has fooled us again

He's just difficult to work with and good at getting himself into the media. A team managing to get an entire article in Cyclingnews about how sponsors find them hard to work with? Ball is a genius!

If he has a business worth losing, I guess he does not want doping headlines...just the publicity giving a second chance to big names gives...he's been quite clever I think. The cipo headlines are funny-I don't think it's true but gets people talking

Oh, come on! How can this be bad news? The man will take on Steve Hed in the wheel building business just to prove a point.

"Ya know what, challenge me! Please, challenge me to go out and just in spite of you bailing, I'll make a better wheel, a cooler wheel, a more dynamic wheel, a lighter and faster wheel - thanks very much for inspiring me!" he said. "I'll send [Steve Hed] a thank you note!"

How can something so utterly, ridiculously funny be bad news? It's not like this guy is going to destroy the sport. He's a few years too late for that gig. If anyone sees the problem with signing Sevilla, Botero and Hamilton, it means they already understand the situation of the sport and no new harm is being done.

Cycling really needs to find a sense of humor, because this guy is funny. It's a little like sitting in a party watching the one guy who's on "the dust" making a fool of himself.

A well argued post with solid reasoning underpinning the central thrust of your argument. Nice one.

ok, fair enough. I posted pretty much straight away after reading the cyclingnews story. i was disgusted the guy got such coverage, and continues to do so, and will continue to do so. it's something the guy is obviously very good at.

Was this not the same Mr. Ball that gave off about Brunyel when he signed Contador due to his link with OP. now Ball signs Hamilton, with the rumour of Botero, Sevilla and even Landis has been mentioned. Cipo was obviously a PR joke.

i don't think Landis is realistic. Hamilton is a done deal i believe, as is Botero.

He isn't what the sport needs right now. the less coverage he get the better. ironic, eh?!

He's a self-made man with a passion and a big checkbook looking to put into this sport much more than he is likely to get back from it. That is exactly what the sport needs right now. It just so happens this particular one is a complete d!ck. We can't have our cake and eat it too, it seems. Anyways, it's weight loss season for most cyclists, so it may be as well...
