Just wondering if anyone can find a better spec bike for £399. I really like the Giant and have tried this bike out.

No. That's a good price for that bike. Is it a 2008?

No it's 2007, my mate has one and it seems very good value for the cash. It's for the wife she likes the bike too.

Are you buying it from him?

Looks good is it worth the £40 extra? Think they only have the 18" frame my wife is 5" 6 and 30" inside leg so would be too big I think.

  • I agree.Likely to be too big. :(

I love the giant XTCs, wish I could have afforded one when origionally buying. The 4.5 had the same frame as the rest of the alu XTC bikes I believe (correct me if im wrong) which get up to over £1000 and cost £300 frame only so you can upgrade it to your heats content.
    Giant TCR advanced 2 (Summer/race)
    Merlin single malt fixie (Commuter/winter/training)
    Trek superfly 7 (Summer XC)
Giant Yukon singlespeed conversion (winter MTB/Ice/snow)

True of the 2008, though not the 2007 where the 4.5 was a different frame tot he rest of the range.
