demo 8 chainguide help

right then
just got my new chainguide for my 06 demo 8 all the correct mounts ect and a smaller ring and i still cant stop the chainring catching on the rear chainstay
the components being used are blackspire c4 chainguide shimano hollowtech 2 bb cups raceface diablus cranks .
anyone got any advice/info
