I'm looking to upgrade my 9-speed Veloce to 10 speed. My current setup is as follows:
Levers - 9-speed Xenons
FD - 9-speed Mirage
RD - 9-speed Veloce
CS - 9-speed Veloce
Chain - 9 speed Veloce
Cassette - 9-speed Veloce
I'll be changing my wheels at the same time as having a set built around 10-speed Veloce. My proposed upgrade would be
Levers - 10-speed Veloce
FD - 9-speed Mirage
RD - 10-speed Veloce
Chain - 10 Speed Veloce
Cassette - 10 speed Veloce.
Therefore, changing everything bar the front gear. I assume that this will work without issue. Was wondering if I need to change the Veloce rear from a 9-speed to a 10-speed or will the original 9-speed be able to work with new 10-speed veloce levers and 10-speed cassette?
Incidentally, is there much difference between Centaur hubs and Veloce hubs?
