Morning All
I live in south London (Clapham North) and commute on the bike to central London most days. I also like to ride for the pleasure of it and the exercise at the weekends and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a round trip of about 20 miles in and around london.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Out to Richmond Park and laps to your satisfaction is the classic trip
You will also find lots of people doing laps of the outer circle of Regent's Park for training, it's flat with few junctions and light traffic (watch out for the zoo though)
I also like to do laps of Hampstead Heath, up or down Highgate West Hill / Swains Lane, across the top on Hampstead Lane / Spaniards Road and back up or down East Heath Road. this can be linked up to Regent's Park and you've got about a 10 mile big circuitroad0 -
From Camberwell I used to go up through the left hand side of town, across hampstead heath and then back down the right side through the City.
Some of the hills up to the heath are monsterous.
Yeah, 'bout 20 miles: -

I had a copy of this and thought it was pretty good:

Didnt get around to doing many but these are more leisurely jaunts around the country with a few chums and lashings of ginger beer than a gruelling workout.0 -
