Hi, on the old C+ forum, there was a link to a set of FAQs on fixed cycling put together by C+ posters, anyone know if this is still out there somewhere and if so what is the link?

Thanks

How nice! The FAQs are still out there - and still quite readable!
I now have a new A however to "Am I too old to ride fixed?": YES, I AM!

  • nooooo. Rubish. If I can be beaten by a 71 and 73 year old in a 10 mile TT and unless you're 74, you're not too old!!

I have to admit, i'm already gratefull for that site!

    "unless you're 74, you're not too old!!"

Doesn't necessarily follow! Only 60 this year, BUT 50 years of smoking and as a youth jobs which would not now be allowed under H&S in this country have left my lungs somewhat restricted - well, shot actually!

And 12 months of just twisting the thing under my right hand in order to go (much) faster has wiped out the benefits of averaging 20 miles per day by pedalling over the previous 3 years.

Best to know one's limits, I think!
