P*nct*red at the weekend (rear wheel), so got all the kit out of my commute bag changed the tube etc, got into work fine on weds. Then yesterday evening got on the bike only to discover I had another rear wheel p*nct*re. I'm on the singlespeed and have forgotten to put my spare tube, multitool, pump and tire levers back in the bag. Cue a 10 min walk in cleats to the nearest bike shop. Bought a tube, borrowed some tools, thoroughly checked the tire and rim for glass/debris, changed the tube. Got halfway home before I p*nct*red again. Ended up walking 3 miles in my cleats, and forgot to take off my nice new overshoes, when I got home I discovered I'd worn a hole in the heel of each one, clearly not designed for walking. All in all a very bad commute and a reminder to always make sure you carry spares and repairs, especially in the winter months.
Today I'm carrying:

2 tubes
2 CO2 canisters
1 minipump
1 multitool
3 tire levers.

I feel your pain - had two punctures the day i only carried one tube.

Got so much confidence in my 'new' Marathon Pluses that I haven't been carrying anything for the last week, though. Hopefully pride won't come before a fall, but i suspect it might come before a long walk home soon!

Would be tempted to add a small repair kit to that list...

Probably should, although you'd hope 2 spare tubes would be enough! I'm on the winter trainer today which has Conti GP4000's on, (touch wood) I've suffered very few probs with these in the past. The Rubino Pro's on the singlespeed are getting dumped this weekend as they are clearly cack - and have no grip in the wet!

I was going through a couple of punctures a week until a month ago when I succumbed and bought a set of Schwalbe Marathons. Probably jinxing myself for the ride home tonight but I've not had one since!

I still carry a spare tube and repair patches (yes I have been caught out with more than one puncture on a trip before) and have a couple more spares at work.

Check your tyre for that wee bit of glass that may be causing the repeat puncture!

    Ouch!

I always have two spare tubes with me!

Though I must admit, with my Armadillo tyres, I have punctures so rarely I just bin the punctured tubes... Not very environmentally I admit.
