I need to replace my 10 speed cassette. It is a shimano Ultegra in a compact set up with 11-23 teeth.
A replacement cassette is available at about £30 but i have seen a sram cassette OG1070 reduced from £60 to £30 with the same ratio.
Do i go for the SRAM or Shimano?

  • If the rest of your chainset is shimano, I'd personally stick with that. Some people like to mix and match chainsets but I think it seems neater and more effecient to run stuff from the same family. Just my perception - there's nothing scientific about that!

Fit the cheapest. I bet you don't even notice a difference.

I've got SRAM Cassettes on all my Shimano Wheels. Nout wrong with them.

    Hi there.

No offence to cyclignfury - but I wouldn't take advice from anyone who doesn't know the difference between a cassette and a chainset...

As smokin joe says - vote with your wallet.

    Cheers, Andy
