Hi
i have a mechanical disc brake on my back wheel and a hydraulic on my front. i was just wondering whether i can put my back mechanical brake on my front? is that possible, or do i have to buy another brake specifically for my front brake?
thanks

You're best off with the the mech brake staying on the rear as most braking is done on the front, well most of the fine braking is and I'm sure your hydraulic has better modultion an d whatnot.0

You can put your back brake on the front. You would need to shorten the cable inner and outer accordingly and buy either a new mount or a bigger rotor. Putting the hydro on the back would be more difficult though.
What brakes do you have and why do you want to do it?"Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0
