I know 650cc wheels are not legal for UCI/BCF time trialling but apart from that if you buy 650cc wheels does the frame have to be made for 650cc wheels or are there modified brakes you can get ..?

In short i know someone that is selling 650cc wheels cheap but I have a 700cc frame so not sure if they would work. Thanks

Fairly sure 650 wheels aren't inherently UCI / BC illegal (IIRC the minimum diameter is 55cm, and 650s are bigger than this). Not that that's much help to you, as I very much doubt you'll get them to work properly with your bike - not only will the brakes be miles away from the rims (nobody makes brakes which will work), but you'll also lower your BB such that you'll find yourself unable to pedal in corners.

Unless of course you were planning on using wheels off a 650cc motorbike, rather than 650c bicycle wheels?
