Hope Vision LED hates my new Polar computer
Santa was good to me and I got a shiny new Polar CS200cad
Fitted everything and check that it all worked okay on Monday, but when I set out on my commute yesterday everything blanked out to 0 :x I stopped at the side of the road and checked that the sensor were still ticking. Then I noticed that the little heart icon wasn't beating. :?
In an unusual moment of inspiration I turned off my Hope Vision LED lights and lo, there was a beating heart once more. I then set off and, sure enough, got both speed and cadence readings as well. But when I turned the lights back on everything went back to 0.
I decided that I wanted to get to work with my heart still beating and left the lights on - anyone got any ideas how I can get the Polar to work with the lights, or do I just have to wait until spring?

Sadly, there are a number of lights - SLED and HID ballasts that are notorious for interefering with your bike's computer. Looks like your Polar is going to have to stay in its box whilst commuting until the clocks go forward.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I've had the same problem, but resolved it by putting my hope on top of my Helmet ( this is assuming that you have the adaptor.0

Careful positioning of computer/light can help overcome the problem. Even a physical barrier between them seems to help.0

It will depend in the cooling, but..........
I met a guy some time ago on the ferry who had his light covered in silver foil for this reason.
It makes sense due to the well known as a "filter" for electromagnetic interference is aluminium baking foil!
A layer of this around the lamp and also altering the distance between lamp and computer may solve the problem. He that buys land buys many stones.

He that buys eggs buys many shells,
But he that buys good beer buys nothing else.
