Hi all Ive got a Stumpy ht 2007.The stock wheels are..
Rims: DT custom for Specialized X430, 24mm w/eyelets, 32h.
Front Hub: Specialized Stout disc, sealed cartridge bearing, high/low flange, 32h.
Rear Hub: Shimano M-525 disc, 32h, alloy QR.
Spokes: DT Swiss 1.8mm stainless, alloy nipples.

I was thinking that the total weight is around 1950.

Would a set of crossrides be an Upgrade?

Cheers.

Personally I'd go for a custom handbuilt set from Merlin, much better build quality than a machine built wheel like the Crossride.

Cross-rides are good wheels for the price but I wouldn't have said they were much of an upgrade over your current wheels.

the standard wheels on the 07 stumpy HT aren't too bad, have only had to grease the rear hub once in a while and the front seems well sealed. Have just ordered a set of the Hope Pro 3 wheels for mine, the std wheels will be going on my boy's Hardrock with a set of Avid Juicy threes (nice upgrade for him).
Cheapest I could find was Dave Hinde Racing at £279.99. The Pro twos are probaly equally as good, but the straight pull hubs of the Pro3's look soooo trick 8)
