I am often out on my bike and see things I would like to take photos of.

What would be a good camera for doing this?

I would want something light and small to fit in my jersey pocket and I suppose able to handle being in the pocket, getting hot and moving around a bit.

I would like to be a decent quality so i could also use it for more general use aswell.

Any ideas?

A mobile phone with decent camera function is the answer for me - carry 1 device rather than 2. I'd recommend the Sony Ericsson K800i (or the K850i if you're flush!).

I hadn't thought of that, although I don't carry a phone with me anyway.

Are they good quality? Ill have a look, thanks!

The K800i is 3.2mp and takes pretty decent pics. I picked mine up from Play.com for £65 and had it unlocked (it was on Vodaphone) for another £20. You'll need a memory card also so you can take as many pics as you like.

I also use mine as an mp3 player when I'm doing long-distance stuff, so for me it actually replaces three separate gadgets (and it has an FM radio for when you're in the middle of nowhere).

    PB21,
I would issue a word of wrning. I used to carry my camera/phone in my jersey pocket until it stopped working (the screen went completely white). O2 said it was unrepairable, becasue dampo had got in. I do sweat a lot, but even so!
I would have had to buy a new one if I hadn't been due to upgrade. I now carry it in a plastic bag, or in my rack bag.
    Cheers

Yep. I also use a carry pouch, and if it looks like rain then a plastic zip bag thingie as well. They can be very susceptible to moisture.

    Thanks for the replies.

There is that one that is waterproof drop proof etc. Ive seen the advert but cant think what it is, that might be useful. I will try and look for it.
