Sizing

In the process of buying a hard tail,likely as not a Carrera Kraken as a replacement for my very old Evans road bike, but can't come to terms with the frame sizing ! I'm a 32" inside leg ( about 5'10" tall) and whilst I am led to believe that this would translate to a 18/19" frame, when I get on one it just seems tiny after the road bike ...................and my 12 year old son rides a 17" MTB ! . I won't be doing any fancy off road stuff, so not concerned about jumping, just relatively leisurely trail riding.

    18/19 should be fine mountain bikes are more about agility rather than eating up hundreds of road miles . Anything bigger than 18/19 inch and you would really be struggling for reach .
