just been given a Tracx turbo trainer to use. didnt come with any instructions as its a few years old. tried the Tracx website and there are only assembly pdf's on there rather than instructions for use.
How tight should it be against the rear wheel?
thanks

  • tight enough so it doesn't slip when you accelerate/put power down. Slacken the adjuster off so its not touching then gradually increase it.
  • Thanks for that, i know my brother who gave me it said that when he used it before it sort of melted a line around the tyre, maybe too tight?

  • Normal tyres do get hot. You can get specific turbo tyres with a harder compound. Your bro must be going some to get them to melt, maybe get him to go slower!
  • I dont think mine will get that hot!
