just been given a Tracx turbo trainer to use. didnt come with any instructions as its a few years old. tried the Tracx website and there are only assembly pdf's on there rather than instructions for use.
How tight should it be against the rear wheel?
thanks

tight enough so it doesn't slip when you accelerate/put power down. Slacken the adjuster off so its not touching then gradually increase it.0

Thanks for that, i know my brother who gave me it said that when he used it before it sort of melted a line around the tyre, maybe too tight?2009 LaPierre Spicy 316

Normal tyres do get hot. You can get specific turbo tyres with a harder compound. Your bro must be going some to get them to melt, maybe get him to go slower!0
