...I think

Hey guys due to a combinantion of road salt and poor care i think one of my back brake pistons has siezed, if i take ther pads out, and squeeze the lever slightly, only one pad moves and it was a real struggle to force the piston back so i could replace the pads

In doing this, or by some other random peice of bad luck, its possible that there now lies a crack on the piston (it doesnt seem to penetrate all the way through). but the piston moves a little bit but one moves mauch farther than the other despite a whole load of adjusting

so i take it i now need a new disc piston body due to the crack (??) but neither CRC or wiggle seem to stock on, does anyone know anywhere that does?!

Very very p**ed off by avid so far.....

Cheers Guys

try pushing it out, cleaning it and lubricating with a little DOT fluid then push it back in and repeat a couple of times.

If the piston is cracked id say that you probably need a replacement though.
