Side to side movement of back wheel - normal?

My back wheel - Mavic open Pro on a Powertap hub - moves side to side with a slight palpable click. It doesn't happen on my normal wheels - is it due to the cones needing tightening or the cassette being a little loose or is it normal to have a little bit of lateral movement?
:?

Sounds like the cones need a tighten to me....that's the 'problem' with mine too!!
I'd rather walk than use Shimano

Yup - rear wheel bearings need adjusting. Don't leave it too long as you can wear them out quicker.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

If you're going to strip it down do make sure you keep track of which nuts and spacers go where on the axle - it's easy to get it wrong the first few times you do it and you can end up with an apparently out-of-dish wheel, simply due to spacers between cones and locknuts being on the wrong side.

DO NOT TRY TO STRIP THE HUB DOWN. The bearings are sealed type and it can damage the electronics. See page 31 of the manual here.

Better to check with your nearest Cycleops dealer.

I had figured that out and contacted Saris to test out their legendary top rate service.....
