Assos++
Another cheer for Assos customer services.
About two weeks ago I broke the zipper on the front of my Assos F1 Mille bib knicks when I pulled the zipper down rather to sharply due to the impending need to empty my bladder as soon as possible. This pair of knicks had also had the stitching around the chamois cut in one place due to snagging them on the washing machine door. In short they were about 9 months old and had seen a bit of action, the fabric though was okay.
I'd resigned myself to buying a new pair, which I did, but after reading the Assos website I also saw that they did a repair service which, best of all, was free of charge. So I popped the item into the post not expecting much only to be pleasantly surprised this morning when I received the bib knicks back in a large padded envelope all the way from the land of the Toblerone. The good people at Assos had done the repairs with a brand new zipper on the front and with the previous stitching around the chamois having been removed and re-stitched.
Hmmmm, impressed I am. It might be expensive but it's great stuff.

My Intermediate suffered damage on the inside right arm for some unknown reason after only 3 weeks and two rides. I had it sent off hoping for a repair or replacement, only to be told that there was no fault with the product and a replacement will cost £61. I reluctantly agreed to this, but even then the cheeky buggers tried to hold onto the original rather than return it to me.0
