I have one of these devices ready to fit -

If you look at the pic there is a clamp shown at the bottom of the post. It is not a seatpost fitting clamp as it only just fits round the post itself and has a 2.5mm hex head. Would I be right in thinking it is a cunning little device to prevent the post from slipping down into the frame? I have never seen one before.

Looks like a seat clamp to me from the picture shown, why not wait till the shop is open and ask them, only an idea. Greetings Ademortademort

Strange though as the post has graduation marks on it.0 -
