Hi

Returning to mountain biking after a 10 year absence, and have got myself a GT Avalanche 1.0 (to be picked up in early January). Back in the day, I had a GT Timberland but it got nicked.

Anyway, I have used this forum a fair bit to read up over the last couple of weeks, and reckon I'll stick around as it seems friendly and informative. 8) Hopefully I can contribute something useful after a wee while. :)

So, just to say "hello" really. And to ask if anyone has any recommendations of where to go mountain biking in Renfrewshire?

Renfrewshire : How about the paths around Gleniffer Braes? Or up at Loch Thom above Port Glasgow and Greenock? There's Muirshiel Country Park and Duchal Moor between Quarriers Village and Lochwinnoch. Neilston Pad has a few tracks. Pollok Park In Glasgow has a dedicated MTB area and not so far away is the Carron Valley centre above Kilsyth. That's enough to be getting on with. Details can be found on the web.
