I'm fed up of paying retail for ball bearings in little packets of 20 - can anyone point me to a source of 25 grade stainless ball bearings in 1/4 and 3/16 size that sell online? I'm after about 100 of each I suppose, but would buy more to keep some in stock if the price were right.

How do you know what size to get? Are they standardised sizes? I know the oes in my hubs are not the same size ie front is bigger than rear.

Many thanks for the reply - I did google extensively, but could not find the 25 grade stainless variety that I want.

Lots of places sell cheaper grade ones, like the link kindly posted.

Rear hubs generally use 1/4 inch, front use 3/16. I tend to replace headset bearings with OEM caged bearings.
