Hi guys, Ive just brought some mavic 823 wheels (2005/6 models i think) second hand and was wondering how id go about setting them up tubeless, you see they didnt come with the valve core or anything, just the rims because the previous owner was running them with presta tubes. any help much appreciated!!oh yea, if i do manage to set up the rims do i have to use ust compatable tyres?

  • Not to worry - you can by the core valves from Mavic as a kit - where though I don't know :?

The easiest way to do it is Mavic valves and UST tyres but you don't have to. You can use normal tyres and sealant but they're much harder to get seated and sealed than UST.
