I'm trying to fit a new battery in my CS200. It seems simple enough, unscrew back, remove battery, put in new battery and replace back.

Why doesn't it work?

Make sure the contact points are clean and still lined-up/tight enough to touch the battery, especially the one on the side. Check that the rubber seal hasn’t slipped out of it’s groove and is stopping the back from closing properly. I shouldn’t ask but I will… is the battery in the right way? 8)

BTW, what ever the manual says about only having to reset the time/date, make sure you go through and check/re-set all of your personal settings and values – these are not always saved when changing a battery on a CS200.
    I’m a sprinter – I warmed up yesterday.
  • Cheers, I'll check the contact point on the side.

The seal is fine. And tired though I am, the battery is the right way round.
  • Many thanks , you're a genius, the contact at the side was the issue.

Now how do I go faster?

Glad to hear it worked. It's only coz I have 30 months of CS200 ownership and experience to fall back on! :)

I'm pretty sure that I recommend my coach to you in a previous thread... 8)

  • My team mate has started with your coach, I'm still sitting on the fence. If he starts beating me I'll be convinced.
