Hi,
I seem to have a clicking feeling, I can feel it through the pedals and feels pretty constant depending on cadence, coming whenever I am in the 3rd or 4th cassette gear (sorry I don't know the terms too well as new to bicycle maintence and slowly learning the ropes). It is not a major issue but I was wondering what this might be and how to resolve?
I've tried looking for this before, and I don't know if it might just be a gear shifting problem.
Recently I have changed my rear cassette, drive and chain but I had this problem before and after.
Thanks in advance.

and what parts do you have?

at best the stops/cabel tension just need a sort.

  • Sorry, do you mean which parts do I have on the bike at the moment? Or what spares do I have as well?

If your kit is new (chainrings, chain and cassette) the clicking sound can only be due to the indexing being out, especially so if the back end runs fine in some of the gears. Twiddle with the adjustment barrell. See Park Tools site for advice.

As previously asked what spec cassette and freehub?

If you don't have a carrier type cassette it's possible your sprockets are cutting into the hub splines. Worth stripping back to see what's happening before $$ are need to fix.
