Count me out of the weigh in for a few weeks. I've turned into a christmas pig - got a hamper from work, full of delicious and naughty treats and I just can't resist dipping in every night. I'm boozing again too - which is great but bad!!
See you on January 1st weight watchers.

  • just found a big bowl of marshmallows in the office kitchen... :D
  • I too can feel myself getting fatter as am having to eat my own body weight each day in quality streets and mince pies as our suppliers keep giving us tins of them as gifts and we don't want any left over in the new year.

I know the feeling.... I am just back from lunch and am afraid to move in case I split some item of clothing. :(

Yep same here, we are getting bought tins and tins of chocolates here, nice ones I have enver heard, as well as celebrations, Heroes, truffles, and mince pies.

I try not to eat them, but they are by my desk, and it is difficult.

I think we're allowed to let it go a little at this time of year...

Absolutely. Riding in these temperatures, I think one is allowed a little extra insulation. That's my excuse, anyway.

Isn't the latest advice to ignore your actual weight and concentrate on your BMI :?:
I don't know if this will help ease a guilty conscience but it's worth a shot
My BMI could do with some attention though

What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!

No, BMI doesn't work for me as I'm pretty solid. Waist measurement always works ok for me though.

Five o'clock - just having a very small glass of sparkling pinot grigio rose from the hamper. Going down a treat.

Hey, I'm such a huge pig, I ate a bunch of stuff and fell over and can't get up. Nyuk, nyuk.

Sorry, I fell out of character there for a second.

    Just trying to blend in.

    Sorry.

    Signed,
    Yank.
  • Working in a shop I get to eat all the bags of sweets, boxes of mince pies or tins of quality street that would be thrown out anyway due to damage.

I could throw them out, but that would be wasting good (free) food

  • Since September when I last rode my bike, I've not put any weight on despite continuing to eat at the same rate and to consume pints of beer at an even greater rate than during my LeJog trip. However, my body shape has morphed somewhat with my legs losing their muscular definition in favour of ,well, just sticks, and a rotund appendage has appeared between my chest and my hips. No point in trying to do anything about it this side of the New Year or even for the early part of 2008 (I'm being realistic here). So, bring on January 10th or thereabouts and my rplenished resolve to get fit and reclaim my usual body shape.
