Hi forum people...

I have a Campag Mirage CT c/set on my fixie, I plan to get the bike 'geared up' in January to compete in some early season events, as I wish to do this for as little cost as poss I will use the c/set I have already...

question is this - do I have to use a dedicated compact drive f/mech with this c/set or can I get away something else? The rings are 48/36

Many TIA
Regards

No, any mech will work perfectly despite what Campag tell you.

The 2008 front mechs are designed to work with both standard and compact cranks.
I'd rather walk than use Shimano

I've got a 2008 combined mech on a centaur compact, I can't find any difference between that and the ancient 105 mech I was running previously. The Quick Shift ain't any quicker either.
