I need a new rear wheel, but it has to be equivalent to an Alex TD20 on a shimano hub...

...This guy ran over my bike, and need a new replacement. He said he would pay for all the damage, but i dont want to rip him off.

Any suggetsions are welcome.

Thanks

I don't know if this an equivalent (probably much better), but Merlin Cycles do excellent handbuilt wheels at very good prices, for example a Mavic XM719 disc rim, with XT hub for £64 (plus post) - you can go down or up from this spec as you wish, but any way you look at it, £64 is no rip off!

If you do get a better spec wheel than before just think of this as a small compensation for the inconvenience and time involved in being without the bike and soucing the replacement, it is a hassle you could ptrobably have done without.
  • thanks for that!

Merlin seem pretty good. I'm off to the bike shop later to see what they can do, if they want more than i am willng to pay, then they are not getting my custom
