Bargin or Counterfeit

I have been an avid cyclist for years and keep hearing rumors of there being counterfeit frames and parts out in the big bad world. I am far from naive but I have only heard these rumors through "a friend of a friend bought one" or "We had a customer in the other day" type conversations.

I would be really interested if anyone with real life experience could let me know where they bought it and what, if anything, the brand holder did on your behalf.

    yes there are copies out there. The brand holder does nothing as it is not their product.

    there were a few Spesh "S-works" frames on Ebay that were not real.

    there are also a few people on Ebay that rebage their POS to try and get a better price, they tend to get ripped to bit on the Fora. And some people will mail the buyer telling them that it is not as advertised....

    apparently u can get fake fox forks, there was a site which showed some pics but i cant remember it
