padding in shorts becomming flat?

i've had my endura 10 panel coolmax shorts for about 8 months and up until last month they were like new but the last few rides they've felt less padded it's like half the padding has gone and they don't spring back like they used to. i've only ever hand washed them and drip dried as per label, so time for a new pair or is there a way of revitilising them?

same with my fox shorts. I think its just what happens to pads, they get worn in. Still better than no padding!
